• What is Silk'n Tightra?

  Silk'n Tightra is the first device for feminine intimate wellness that you can use at home with proven, safe and effective Bi-Polar RF technology. This technology is known for its tightening and firming effect on the female private area. Using Silk'n Tightra, you will regain confidence, freedom of movement, and sexual satisfaction.

• How does it work?

  Silk'n Tightra uses clinically proven technology shrunk into a self-use device, to use in the comfort of your own home. The device safely releases 360° uniform distribution of Bi-Polar Radiofrequency energy to the vaginal tissue, internaly and externally. This technology is famous for its tightening and firming effect on any collagen containing tissue.

• How do I know if Silk'n Tightra is right for me?

  If you are a women between 35 and 60 years old you may have noticed that your private area doesn't feel or look the same as it used to. You might consider using Silk'n Tightra if you experience post child birth damages, elasticity and sensitivity reduction, bruised self-confidence about your external appearance, or other side effects of weakened pelvic floor muscles. These typically occur in women who have given birth and to ageing women during and after menopause. In general, Silk'n Tightra should not be used by pregnant or nursing women, transgender women, men, children, teenagers and virgins. • Is Silk'n Tightra safe?

  The technology behind Silk'n Tightra has been tested and proven to be safe to use. Vaginal rejuvenation and tightening is apopular treatment in aesthetic clinics around the world. This Silk'n Tightra intriguing device utilises Bi-Polar RF technology - the same energy and same intensity used in high-end clinics.

• What are the safety features?

  Silk'n Tightra has the following safety features:

  Heat stabilizer: 16 heat sensors, that are embedded in the electrodes, constantly monitor the skin temperature during use and ensure that it will not exceed 42°C - 43°C.

  Touch sensor: the sensor ensures that the Bi-Polar RF energy will only pass through the electrodes when the electrodes are in good contact with the skin. This avoids overexposure of energy in one spot.

  Movement sensor: when you use the device in external mode, the device will only emit energy if it is moved across the skin.

  Auto shutdown: the device shuts down automatically after 20 minutes of use. Additionally, the device will shut down after 2 minutes if there is no firm contact with the skin.

• Will using Silk'n Tightra hurt?

  No, treatments with Silk'n Tightra don't cause any discomfort. The only thing you will feel is a sensation of heat, both during internal and external treatments. Some redness or slight swelling of the skin around the vagina following an external treatment is normal too. Lastly, when using the internal mode, some users might experience the need to urinate more frequently. Don't worry, this will go away in a few days. Silk'n Tightra is 100% safe, non-invasive, requires no recovery time and is pain-free.

• Can I control the energy levels?

  Yes. The internal mode of Silk'n Tightra has three energy levels. This gives you excellent control of the intensity you wish to apply on the different areas in the vagina. The external mode has only one level.

• Do I need any gel to use Tightra?

  Yes. For effective RF energy distribution, apply a small amount of the Silk'n Intimate Gel supplied with the device to all the electrodes (internal use) or to the 3 chrome electrodes (external use). There is no need to apply gel internally. For replacement purchases, Silk'n Intimate Gel is also for sale in our webshop silkn.eu.

• Can I use any other type of gel?

  If you decide to use another type of gel other than Silk'n Intimate Gel, it is important that this is a water-based lubricant. Only when following these requirements, your Tightra device will work optimally.

• How long should a session take?

  Each internal or external session takes 20 minutes.

• For how long should I use it?

  You may use the device in one or both modes, twice a week for 4-5 weeks. After that, use whenever maintenance is needed, and gradually reduce the frequency of use.

• How should I use it internally?

  Use this mode to tighten the vaginal tissue and muscles to improve sexual activity. Apply a small amount of the Silk'n Intimate Gel to all the electrodes. Start with the low energy setting. Lie down and make yourself comfortable with the heat, from there you can press the control button again for a higher energy level. Insert the electrode into the vagina as far as is comfortable for you. Rotate it from time to time to maintain conductivity. Keep the device in place for 20 minutes. After 20 minutes, the device will shutdown automatically.

  NOTE: If when using the highest setting you feel uncomfortable, stop the session, reset Tightra to a lower setting, and perform a full 20 minute session in this mode.

• How should I use it externally?

  Use this mode to tighten the external vulva skin tissue for an improved vaginal appearance. Make sure the skin surrounding the vagina is shaved, clean and dry. Short press the control button 3 times. Apply a small amount of the Silk'n Intimate Gel to the 3 chrome-coloured electrodes. Lie down and make yourself comfortable. Use a mirror for accurate application. Place the electrode on the labia and make sure that they are in good contact with the skin. Move the device slowly but firmly across the skin in linear or circular motions. After 20 minutes, the device will shutdown automatically.

• Should I do anything after using Silk'n Tightra?

  We recommend that you avoid very hot water for 2 days after use.

• What should I do if I don't feel any heat from the device?

  No heat is emitted if the 3 chrome electrodes for external use are not in good contact with your skin. This a safety feature. Make sure the device is tightly pressed to the skin. Also no heat is emitted if you have not applied gel, or if previously applied gel has dried up. Make sure to apply the gel directly before using the device.

• My skin became red after using Silk'n Tightra. Is this normal?

  With the external mode, you may find some skin redness or slight swelling in the treated area which should disappear after the session. It should last no more than 2-5 days. Consult your physician if the redness does not go away within 5 days.

• When can I see results?

  Noticeable results can be seen after 3-4 weeks of using the Silk'n Tightra in one or both modes, twice a week. The full regimen takes 4-5 weeks. After that, reduce the use gradually to once a week, then to every 2 weeks or less frequently, to meet your specific needs.

  However, results vary per person. Most women will see and feel results after 8 sessions and will continue to see improved results over the following weeks of sessions.A few women will experience improvements even earlier in the Tightra regimen - some as early as after the first treatment session.

• How long will I need to wait to resume sexual activity and do exercise?

  One of the great advantages of Silk'n Tightra is that there is no recovery time and it's pain-free. You'll be able to return to your routine immediately.

• How long does it take to charge the Silk'n Tightra?

  The initial charge should take around 6 hours. Subsequent charges should take a minimum of 2 hours. You can use the Silk'n Tightra for 30 minutes when fully charged.

• What are the specifications of the Bi-Polar RF technology?

• How do I clean my device after treatment?

  Always disconnect the device from the adapter before cleaning. Use a vaginal wipe to remove any gel residue off the device including the tip surface. Then dry the device with a clean paper towel. You may use cleaning fluids with up to 70% alcohol but never use acetone or other abrasive fluids, because they will damage your device. Never immerse the device or any of its parts in water. • Can I use it if I have piercings?

  Do not use if you have superficial metal, piercing or other implants in the treatment area. Remove any piercings before use.

• In which cases am I not allowed to use Silk'n Tightra?

  For a list of all exceptions, please read the User Manual (a link can be found on this page) to check if this device is suitable for you. However, we subtracted the most common ones below.

  Do not use Silk'n Tightra in case you:

  • are pregnant or nursing.
  • are a transgender woman, man, child, teenager or virgin.
  • have an active electrical implant/device in any region of the body, a pacemaker or internal defibrillator.
  • have severe concurrent conditions, such as cardiac disorders, sensory disturbances, epilepsy, uncontrolled hypertension, liver or kidney diseases.
  • have a metal IUD device. If you have a non-metal IUD device, we recommend to consult your physician first.
  • have had any surgical procedure in the vaginal or pelvic area within the last 12 months, or before complete healing.
  • have a history of skin cancer and genital area cancer, or current condition of any other type of cancer, or pre-malignant moles.
  • have an impaired immune system due to immuno-suppressive diseases such as AIDS and HIV, or use immunosuppressive medications.
  • have poorly controlled endocrine disorders, such as diabetes, or thyroid dysfunction and hormonal virilization.
  • have a current urinary tract infection, pelvic or pelvic tract infection.
  • have any active condition in the treatment area, such as sores, psoriasis, eczema, rashes, open lacerations, abrasions, or lesions.
  • cannot sense heat properly because of an illness, or other health related issue.

• Can I use it if I have tattoos?

  Yes, you can use Silk'n Tightra without problems if you have tattoos in the vaginal area.

• When can I use Tightra after childbirth?

  After childbirth, you should wait till the vaginal tissue is completely healed before using Silk'n Tightra. The healing period changes per woman since every birth procedure is different. If you are not entirely sure when you can use Tightra, we advise to consult your physician first.

• What material is Silk'n Tightra made of?

  Silk'n Tightra consists of a polycarbonate housing, rubber handle, stainless steel chrome/gold-coated electrodes, and a silicone button. All these materials are body-safe.
